Who are Certass?
Certass are specialists in installer certification for building refurbishment covering competent people, building regulations, PAS2030* and workmanship quality. They are Government authorised to operate a Competent Person Scheme and are a UKAS accredited Certification Body. Certass is accredited to operate product certification schemes against the standard BS EN17065.Why is this competent accreditation important to Thermaglaze?
Thermaglaze are members of the Certass Competent People, Cq Assured Workmanship and PAS2030 Eco Schemes. As part of these schemes, they are regularly audited on-site and paper work is checked. This is done to ensure the business procedures meet the requirements of government endorsed standards. The team of installers and surveyors have direct access to a range of industry experts for technical advice. Thermaglaze can certify installations to current building regulations, meet appropriate workmanship standards and codes of practice under these schemes.What are the customer benefits?
As part of the Certass membership schemes Thermaglaze must provide their customers with the following:- Before work begins: Provide a consumer contract explaining the work to be undertaken.
- After Completion: Provide a written guarantee to cover the installation work. An insurance policy covering this guarantee is also included.
- Registration: Once the work has finished, Thermaglaze must register the installation with Certass within 21 days of the installation being deemed complete.
